Weekday Services

Special services such as Ash Wednesday or Good Friday are held on weekdays, usually midday and evening. These services are in-person but also streamed via Facebook Live.

Also, on some weekdays, daily prayer is observed in the chapel at 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (In person only.)

Worship at St. Andrew’s reflects the style of most Episcopal parishes.

Rite I: (Sunday at 8 a.m.) – Rite 1 Holy Eucharist retains the beauty and dignity of the liturgical style and Elizabethan English found in earlier versions of the Book of Common Prayer. This spoken service without music is ideal for those who enjoy quiet worship. Names on the parish prayer list are included in the Prayers of the People and read aloud during the service.

Rite II: (Sunday at 10 a.m., and on special days, including feast days) – Rite II Holy Eucharist follows the 1979 Book of Common Prayer. This is a familiar service to long-term Episcopalians and includes organ music, sung hymns, and a choir anthem. At special times such as Christmas or Easter, a choir member or guest may sing solo, or there may be instrumental music (e.g., trumpet, flute, harp). Names on the parish prayer list are included in the Prayers of the People and read aloud during the service.

Prayer List: To place an individual’s name on the Prayers of the People parish prayer list, complete the message form on our website.

Child Care: The church nursery on the lower level is open at 8:30 a.m. on Sundays until 11:30 a.m. A sitter, at no charge, will care for your children during the service and contact you if your child needs attention. A crib, changing table, and appropriate toys are there for your infant, toddler, or young child.
